The global business process management industry is set to see major growth in 2013, a recent study concluded. According to Winter Green Research, the study examines and forecasts cloud and mobile BPM patterns, market shares and strategies from 2013 to 2019.
Focused on the growth and expansion of BPM solutions driven by cloud services and mobility, the study found that more businesses are adopting high-quality BPM software to optimize workflow.
"BPM is evolving cloud SaaS for business applications to accomplish work," said SusanEustis, lead author of the report. "The opportunity to implement apps that make automated process more responsive to the needs of customers, partners, suppliers, and distributors, people use business process management (BPM) as the need for automation tools to help workers is upon all of us. Business process management software is achieving the ability to connect people across applications."
Cloud adoption isn't the only factor driving BPM adoption either. Many firms reported mobile BPM as being a key resource in the coming months and years, as more businesses are looking for ways to optimize the use of personal devices in the workplace. Mobility isn't just a trend though, it's shaping operational decisions and key workforce movement, as employees look to work remotely or at unusual hours in order to boost productivity.
The focus on optimizing business processes gives many firms a head start when it comes to these new IT-based trends, however. With cloud BPM, firms are able to streamline a migration from on-premise IT operations to hosted solutions that reduce costs and improve accessibility. unrelated to process management, this provides significantly benefits on its own - the inclusion of high-end BPM simply drives those advantages further.
Businesses are realizing that the siloed processes they previously engaged in aren't up to the task of supporting the latest trends and drivers of efficiency, and adopting Appian BPM software to enhance the migration to open access for employees streamlines these efforts while maintaining security and productivity initiatives. This is key to market and internal growth and accepting consumer trends toward cloud a mobility overall. Employees are going to start using the cloud and their mobile devices for work, it is up to employers to keep up and implement the software to support that use within the framework of the business and its own goals.
