We will do so by complying with all regulations to ensure a safe working environment for our personnel in each country and city in which we operate. To the extent reasonably possible, we will ensure that our facilities and spaces follow LEED certified guidelines and use resources efficiently.
As a software developer and service provider, we do not require or utilize suppliers for manufactured goods and are not a manufacturing enterprise. We do use our own low-code software development platform for numerous corporate processes—to leverage online work completion and content storage to minimize the use of paper and reliance on printing.
Additionally, Appian endeavors to be a good steward of the environment we all share by recycling paper and waste in accordance with community requirements, employing power-saving equipment in our offices (automated lighting, office machinery, etc.). We will promote participation and communicate our commitment to responsible environmental management by encouraging and promoting environmental responsibility among our employees; for example, Appian offers our United States (U.S.) based employees three programs to help defray their work-related transportation costs and foster environmentally more favorable transportation alternatives.
