During an analysis in business process management, the process and the individual process steps (e.g., activities, idle time) are examined in detail. The subject of these analyses can be performance characteristics—such as cycle times or costs—responsibilities, or the compliance of the process. The analysis results in detailed information on process performance. An analysis identifies weak points or bottlenecks to reveal optimization potential.
