Case

A case describes a business case that runs through a particular process variant reflecting exactly one process cycle. Each case can be identified by its individual case ID and can have attributes with different values.

What do you need business cases for?

A case represents a real business transaction in an IT system, including the range of processes, process variants, and process steps to be analyzed. A case also includes important attributes, such as cycle time, costs, wait times, and more. Analyses can be carried out on the basis of process cycles that have been recorded as cases. The advantage of case-based analyses over hearsay-based analyses is that the results are closer to reality and can more easily identify realistic process weaknesses and problem causes.
