A time stamp is a basic requirement for a data record that is used for a process mining analysis. The time stamp can have different formats, for example “YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss,ms,” which represents the year as four digits, the month and day as two digits, and uses two digits each to represent hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds. Time-related process analyses can be carried out using time stamps (e.g., analyses of throughput times). If no analyses with time reference are to be carried out, time stamps can simply be generated.
