TELUS Corporation

TELUS is a leading national telecommunications company in Canada, with $9.1 billion in annual revenue and 17 million customer connections, including 9.3 million wireless subscribers. TELUS provides a wide range of communications products and services, including data, Internet protocol (IP), voice, entertainment, and video.

TELUS streamlined a complex planning process to save over 7,000 employee hours each year.

Business Problem

TELUS had an integrated planning process that was large, complex, and time-consuming. Every year, many different teams contributed to creating a capital plan, and the groups and systems involved were becoming increasingly interdependent and disjointed.

Appian Solution

TELUS continued its history of building successful applications on Appian, utilizing the Appian Platform again to create Aspire, a unified digital planning system to simplify and automate their planning process. Aspire delivers custom modules that fit each team’s needs and automates data management between systems.

Aspire is a new application that’s projected to reduce planning cycle time by over 55%, saving more than 7,200 employee hours annually and preventing up to $42 million in misaligned capital exposure.
