Malcolm Ross, VP of Product Marketing at Appian (and an "uber demo god" according to Sandy Kemsley), provided Appian World attendees with a walkthrough of Appian 7. He showcased exciting new features that help turn mobile and social processes into high-value apps for the modern worker.
Ross started off with kudos for Appian support & product quality. 99% of Appian customers were "satisfied" with their support requests; 93% were "very satisfied." Appian Cloud had 99.999% uptime. Customers had a seamless transition from Appian 6 to Appian 7.
Appian 7 is governed by these product principles: Simple, Modern, Powerful, Comprehensive.
Ross provided an in-depth look at records, which were announced earlier in Matt Calkins' presentation. Records provide business user-friendly access to enterprise data. Users can easily see and navigate through records across multiple systems through a single social interface from the web or from the mobile device of their choice. Developers can leverage Appian's intuitive BPMN-based process modeler to easily create and execute process orchestration of enterprise records.
Reports are another hot feature in Appian 7. Users can access real-time analytics and reports on enterprise processes and records with Appian's high-performance process analytics engine. Low to zero maintenance requirements and fast performance of Appian's process analytics engine ensure swift identification and resolution of issues and bottlenecks. Best of all, reports are fully mobile-enabled. Appian's native mobile applications deliver beautiful reports that are optimized for today's most popular devices.
