Congratulations to 2022 Appian Europe Partner Solutions Cup Winners!

Cindy Cheng, Sr. Director of Marketing Communications, EMEA, Appian
December 19, 2022

Appian hosted an inaugural EMEA Partner Solution Cup competition in London to see who could create an award-winning solution to benefit our growing global ecosystem of customers and partners. Appian invited our partners to form teams and create a solution prototype to support a compelling and marketable use case for insurance, life sciences, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.

Each team was to build a solution on the Appian Low-Code Platform and leverage capabilities such as process mining, data fabric, robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent document processing (IDP), and artificial intelligence (AI). Submissions were required to include an overview of the new solution's market potential and a go-to-market plan.

Five finalist teams participated in live judging at Appian Europe, where each team had the opportunity to present their solution and its market potential to a panel of internal and external judges:

  • Neil Ward-Dutton - VP, AI and Intelligent Process Automation | IDC
  • Irfan Mukhtar - Head of Automation | AVIVA
  • Fabian Czicholl - Regional Vice President, DACH Sales | Appian
  • Greg Adams - Senior Director of Global Partner Solutions | Appian
  • Gijsbert Cox - Industry Leader, Insurance | Appian
  • Gary Cassell - Industry Lead, Manufacturing & Automotive | Appian

Congratulations to the top three finalists who came up with innovative winning solutions with great potential for delivering impact:

#1 Sustainable Supply Chain Management Solution from Vuram, a WNS company, by Michael Sujith and Sunil Kommireddy.

Provides stakeholders (investors, customers, and suppliers) a streamlined approach to conduct impactful and transparent environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management in manufacturing and supply chain operations.

#2 Supply Chain (Net Zero) Decarbonization Solution from Yexle by Vijay Poondy and Matt Brook.

Leverages the power of Appian’s case management and portals capabilities to help organizations configure, monitor, manage, and control their net-zero goals for lean manufacturing and supply chain management.

#3 Hand in Hand Social Care from Virtual Ward Technologies by Dr. Rhys Thomas and Paul Jones.

An innovative and compelling approach to providing healthcare in the UK that leverages technology to connect clinicians, patients, and families to improve the health status of entire populations.

Honorable mention to the other two finalists: KPMG for its Automated Invoice Processing Solution and Appcino, part of Xebia Group, for its Contract Kit Solution.

Thanks to all the partners who submitted their solutions. We look forward to seeing these prototypes in the marketplace delivering real-world impact and results in the coming year.
