Evi Cohen, Vice President, Global Life Sciences & Healthcare, Appian
July 11, 2017

The trend of moving to the cloud for Life Sciences and Pharma has gone beyond a concept to become a pillar component and strategic requisite for digital transformation.

While adopting a cloud approach has certainly been part of the conversation for the industry, the velocity with which Pharma organizations are researching and navigating their move to the cloud is seeing a shift. This is driven by observed cloud successes within selected business functions, coupled with learnings from other industry trailblazers who are sharing their approaches and best practices.

As part of Appian's Industry Outlook Podcast series, I sat down to discuss the trends and considerations impacting Life Sciences. In the final part of this 3-part series, I dive a bit deeper to discuss how Pharma is evaluating and adopting a cloud approach, covering topics like:

    • Industry collaboration and sharing of Cloud capabilities and best practices

    • Regulatory agencies adopting cloud and encouraging the movement

    • How the cloud is impacting GxP and the Product Lifecycle

    • Support for clinical trials, regulatory operations, manufacturing, and commercialization in the Cloud

Listen to part 3 below as I discuss these topics and more around the impressions, attitude and atmosphere for Life Sciences and the move to the cloud.
