Jacob (Jake) Sloan is a global leader in insurance and healthcare technology transformation, currently serving as Vice President, Global Insurance and Healthcare at Appian. With over two decades of experience in enterprise software, digital transformation, and industry-specific innovation, Jake leads Appian’s global strategy for insurance and healthcare markets across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
At Appian, Jake is responsible for advancing the company’s Connected Insurance and Healthcare solutions, helping the world’s largest insurers and healthcare organizations streamline operations, accelerate innovation, and improve customer outcomes. He brings deep expertise in underwriting transformation, claims modernization, and the application of AI in process automation for Insurers and Healthcare Payers.
Before joining Appian, Jake held executive roles at Aon, where he was CIO for Aon’s Specialty Flood Division (Aon National Flood Services). His experience spans strategy, operations, and P&L leadership, giving him a unique perspective on both business value and technical execution.
Jake is a frequent speaker at global industry events such as InsureTech Connect, InsureTech Asia, Guidewire Connections, and Digital Insurance Summits. He is also an active thought leader in the application of low-code, AI, and automation in regulated industries.
He holds an MBA from Baker University with a minor concentration in International Operations and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP190).
