VP of Business Applications Recognized for Technical Solutions Expertise

RESTON, Va.—May, 13, 2015— Appian, provider of the leading application platform for Business Process Management (BPM) and Case Management solutions, today announced Lang Ly, Appian’s Vice President of Business Applications, has been recognized by Women in Technology (WIT), a leading technology advocacy organization, as the recipient of the 2015 Technical Excellence Award. WIT announced the winners last month at their 16th Annual Leadership Awards Ceremony at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, VA. Over 350 attendees gathered to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of WIT, its members and set of award winners paving the way for leadership throughout the technology industry.

The Technical Excellence Award honors a woman making great strides in various facets of the technology sector. The recipient demonstrates an acceleration and advancement of her career in the technology industry beyond typical performance expectations, including work in the community.

WIT is a non-profit organization with the mission of advancing women in technology by providing advocacy, leadership development, networking, mentorship and technology education. With nearly 1,000 members in the Washington, D.C.-area, WIT strives to meet its vision of being the premier organization empowering women to be architects of change in the technology industry.

In addition to her technical contributions, she enhances corporate culture by serving on the Appian Women’s Leadership Program board, mentoring junior employees, and championing innovative ideas like the new hire welcome program.
