The future is often hard to predict, even as we continue to see new technology and innovations pop up from everywhere with each passing day. Despite all of our advancements in science and technology, there's still no telling what tomorrow will bring.

This was the topic to kick things off on day three of Appian World 2015 as Dr. Michio Kaku, world-renowned Scientist & Best Selling Author, took to the mainstage for a keynote address to examine how the mind will help guide science and technology into the future.

Dr. Michio Kaku is one of the most widely recognized figures in science in the world today. He is an internationally recognized authority in two areas. The first is Einstein's unified field theory, which Dr. Kaku is attempting to complete. The other is to predict trends affecting business, commerce, and finance based on the latest research in science. He has written three NY Times Best Sellers. His latest, The Future of the Mind, hit #1 on the NY Times, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble Best Sellers List, making it the #1 hardcover, non-fiction book in the country.

During his mainstage presentation, Dr. Kaku examined ways in which technology will continue to grow and yield new levels of process innovation in real life scenarios such as the on-site of wearable technology for the digitalization media, entertainment, medicine, health care and education. Dr. Kaku went as far as to paint a scenario of what the average work environment will look like in the future, joking that the office setting will be so nice that no work will ever get done.

"In the future, the computer will be everywhere and nowhere," said Dr. Kaku. "Your brain is the most complex known object in the universe. The brain provides the seamless transfer of information for all that is possible in the future."

Dr. Kaku predicts that all of these futuristic advancements will lead to the Perfect Capitalism, which will establish a unique bond between business and consumers.

"The Future of Everything will allow work to thrive by combing digitalization with talent, experience, and intuition," explained Dr. Kaku.

Dr. Kaku presented a number of scenarios of what the future may look like that wowed the audience, some of which may seem difficult to comprehend or imagine. But harnessing the power of the mind is the catalyst that will make all of these advancements possible.

As Dr. Kaku claimed our mind is the most powerful force in the universe, and the happenings throughout Appian World are first hand proof. With each smartwear demonstration, software innovation customer case study, and continues improvements to enterprise IT began from the mind of innovators who pushed the limit of what is possible.
