October 22, 2014

Appian is in the midst of a very busy fall. Not only did we launch our re-design website less than a week ago, but we have been traveling the globe to meet with trusted customers to share process improvement insights.

Appian has reached the midway point ofAppian Around the World, a premier industry forum dedicated to providingattendees with a deeper understanding of how to leverage the full potential of an enterprise application platform. This series of events has provided a great opportunity for Appian customersto network with other industry professionals, share best practices, and learn the tips that accelerate a BPM program.

And there's still more to come!

The second half of the roadshow tour will conclude with additional stops this fall in some big name cities (Washington, DC: Tomorrow; New York City, NY: October 28; Toronto, Canada: October 30; Los Angeles, CA: November 4; Chicago, IL: November 6).

At the most recent user group event earlier this month in London, MWD AdvisorsCo-Founder and Research Director, Neil Ward-Dutton, shared his thoughts on the customer panelhe chairedfeaturing Appian customers Punch Taverns, John Lewis Partners, and Crawford & Company.

In recapping the event, Neil provides detail of the discussion centered aroundinnovative technologies, featuring IT directors and program leads from each organization. Joining Neil on the panel was Kevin Dalley, Business Process and IT Director of Punch Taverns; Mark Fishman, Project Manager Retail Operations of John Lewis; and Phil Churchman, CIO for EMEA and Asia Pacific, Crawford & Company.

The topics discussed during the session that Neil found most compelling focused ondigitization and the continued adoption oftechnology in the workplace. Panelists expressed how digitization and mobile devices have become a de facto part of business, while BPM's continued evolution leads to a responsibility for organizations to deliver the best services for customers.
