On the heels of our record-breaking 2012 performance, Appian has hung out the "Help Wanted" shingle across virtually every department in the company. Engineering, Professional Services, Sales, Marketing...the list goes on. Appian stands for innovation, so if you're exceptional, dedicated and passionate about changing the face of how work gets done in the new world of social, mobile and cloud, we want to hear from you.
Proven experience is great, but at Appian we value potential and creativity just as much (if not more). That means we're out scouring the campuses of the top schools looking for the next generation of enterprise technology engineers and evangelists. We're also striking up partnerships within our local community to make sure we're plugged into the networks of the best and brightest. For example, we recently became a member of the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies' Corporate Partners in Computing (CPIC) program. We are at the UMD Department of Computer Science CS Internship and Career Fair today.
Just a heads up: the Appian interview process is not what you would call easy. The bar is very high. You can expect several rounds of interviews with people from across our organization, and no one gets a job at Appian without a personal interview with our CEO, Matt Calkins. Although this is highly unusual, it is vital to maintaining Appian's culture and commitment to excellence. As Matt says, "It's one of the primary ways I can shape the company. But once we bring in new employees, we entrust them with more responsibility than any other place would."
That gift of responsibility is what we call our "Right to Amaze" policy. Because we are so careful in our hiring practices, every Appian employee has the right to be creative, to innovate, to take calculated risks...in short, to be amazing. If that sounds good to you, we want to hear from you. Check out the Appian Jobs site, and get in touch!
