Total Software Revenue Grows 53 Percent over 2014
RESTON, Va.—February 16, 2016—Appian today announced the company’s 2015 performance results. In 2015, total software license revenue grew 53 percent over the prior year. Subscription software license revenue grew 72 percent over the same period. Appian’s subscription software license revenue has grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 66 percent since 2012. Total revenue for the company in 2015 grew 22 percent over the prior year.
Global Growth – Offices and Data Centers
Appian expanded its global direct presence in 2015 with new offices in Switzerland and Italy, expanding from established Appian offices in London, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Appian global office presence is complemented by the company’s on-going local data center network expansion, partnering with Amazon Web Services. As of the close of 2015, Appian provides data centers across the USA (Virginia, California and Oregon), Brazil, Ireland, Germany, Singapore and Australia. In 2015, Appian Cloud received FedRAMP compliance authorization, adding to the long list of accreditations proving the Appian Cloud environment safe, secure, and scalable.
The majority of Appian’s 2015 revenue came from five key industries: financial services, insurance, life sciences, healthcare and the U.S. federal government. Appian has increased its focus on these markets in 2016 with dedicated vertical sales teams and industry marketing. Appian unveiled the Appian App Market in 2015. The App Market is a public source of pre-built vertical and horizontal solutions that run on the Appian Platform, as well as tools and extensions to help build any Appian application faster.
In quarterly releases through 2015, Appian delivered key enhancements to the Appian Platform. These enhancements included accelerating application development, managing the entire application lifecycle, expanding interface flexibility to create fit-for-purpose UIs, enterprise data management through Appian Records, offline mobility, and more.
